My Car Ac Is Blowing Hot Air
car blows cold ac quits blowing then – newly replaced compressor?
I just had the compressor replaced in my Jeep Cherokee classic 2000 and it did not fix what the mechanic said the problem was. It blows consistantly for a while (45 minutes – hour) and stays cold, then suddenly blow hot air. He says that this is not the fan motor because it always blows and suggested that it might be button command does not properly connected? That does not make sense to me if the button is not to be disturbed when it stops blowing? Thoughts please ….. talked to the mechanical details and said that it is possible that the computer that controls the AC could be malfunctioning. Made more sense, but I do not want to be "separated" to Detah before I fid out what it is!
Well to start with the AC system has a specific function. If the technology that has replaced the compressor oil is added to it, which can be the problem. To much oil in the ac system will cause this. You have a high side and low side. The lower part is cold and the side above is hot. If oil in the system, it combines on the weak side, which is mostly gas (Freon), so it will not, the work of the condenser will not be able to cool the entire system. If it was to be the relief valve it will never work, even during 1 minute. Just to be sure when it starts blowing hot air to stop and check the AC line, one thick, it the weak side, it must be cold. If it is hot, then too much oil. If it's cold you have a problem with control of ventilation, vacuum leak or something. The vent opening on the heater and close the evaporator. Hope this helps!
